Panoramic View from Sigiriya

Sigiriya is a towering rock fortress and former palace in north central Sri Lanka that was built over 1500 years ago. The entire complex was built by King Kashyapa (AD 477 – 495), and after the his death, it was used as a Buddhist monastery until 14th century. This is a small panoramic showing approximately a 90 degree sweep of the valley surrounding Sigiriya.
